Assasin Snails

July 17, 2010

We now have a good supplies of Assasin Snails for sale. These snails will kill and eat most pond snails types of snails. They do seem to work, but if your aquarium is over run with pond snails and you only put one or two Assasin Snails in. Then there is no way they can do their job fast enough.

Some peoples say they will not kill the large Apples Snails but other peoples claim that sometimes they will. Some peoples claim they are safe to put in with Shrimps, while others claim, they had seen them attack and kill Shrimps. I find it hard to belive that they can kill Shrimps, because for one things Shrimps can move a lot faster than them(Assasin Snails).

Apple Snails

June 21, 2010

I had been wondering why my Apple Snails was not laying any eggs. Well last night they had decided it was time to begin laying eggs.

I only got about 150 full grown Apples Snails.  Once they begin laying eggs, they sometimes forget when to stop. But that okay, cause I need as many as I can get.

Assassin Snails

June 19, 2010

As most peoples with aquariums know, it only take one pond snail to have young. Today you will have one cute little pond snail but in a few weeks time, that one pond snail had turn into a million. They breed like rabbits.

But not to fear, for now they is a way to remove them from your aquarium. All you need is a few Assassin Snails. Assassin Snails will hunt down and kill and then eat all types of pond snails.

I first got the Assassin Snail a few years back and I had found that they will keep your aquarium clean of pond snails. They seem to prefer certain types, but I had found that they will kill most all types.

They say that they will not kill Apples Snails, but there is a lot of peoples that claim they will. To be on the safe side, I had never put them in with my apples snails.

They like to have sand in their aquarium, that they can hide in. They will breed but most peoples will never have young from them, cause they are not that easy to breed, unless you know what you are doing.

Most pet shops do not have them,  so it may be hard to find them. I usually have them in stock all of the time.
