My 100 Gallon Aquarium

July 24, 2010

Yesterday I empty and clean my 100 gallon aquarium. I used to use my 100 gallon for any fish that I took in from peoples, but now I no longer takes unwanted fish in. It is getting unsafe to take unwanted fish in now. I do not deal with just any tropical fish wholesaler. It not safe to.

I been into tropical fish for a most part of my life. I could write books on tropical fish but I do not because my spelling and grammar is not that good. I see a lot of peoples that get into fish and they think they know it all. I see a lot of very bad advice giving to peoples online and by others pet shops. A lot of tropical fish die because of these so-called know it all types of peoples. All I can do is to give good advice, other than that there is nothing I can do but feel sad for all of the fish that will die because of bad advice.

So today I will be filling my 100 gallon with water. That will takes me awhile to do. At this time I am not sure of what I will be putting in it. I am thinking about setting it up as a planted aquarium.

Well that all for now.

More Fish Aquariums

July 23, 2010

As I was out and about this morning, I got a car load of aquariums.  I could not say no to them cause they was cheap. They was all five gallons aquariums. As it was I needed a few more five gallon aquariums and now I got them.

Plus I got a line on where I can get a few bigger aquariums.  I think I may have tropical fish swimming around inside my brain. lol

Well now I got to clean them cause they had been sitting around for a while and then I will be setting them up.

Well that all for now.

Quick Update

July 22, 2010

As I was checking my fish this morning, I see that one of the aquarium on the bottom shelf is leaking. It could be one of four aquariums that is leaking, so now I got to decided which one it is and drain it of water and hope I got the right one.

Otherwise all of the fish is doing great. All of the youngs fish is growing good.  They are having youngs none stop.

Also made up a few more  Micro Worms cultures this morning. Tropical fish love them. You need to make a few up every couples of week or so. They will only last so long.

Check my Meal Worms this morning and I see that I got a lot of youngs meal worms. Most bigger fish love them.

Well that all for now.

Home Raised Fish

July 20, 2010

We are spawning and raising a lot of our own tropical fish. By doing this we are able to cut out the middle man. Which mean that we may be able to sell cheaper.

I enjoy raising tropical fish and it give me something to do, in my spare time. It takes time to grow your own fish. Depending on the breed and how well you care for them, it can take anywhere from 2 months to 6 months for them to be ready to sell.

At this time we got the following breeds of  fish, that we are growing up. They are as follow, Red Cherry Shrimps, Rosy Red Minnows, Rosy Barbs, Bettas, Cherry Barbs, Fancy Guppies, Serpa Tetras, Zebra Danios, Swordtails, White Cloud, Leopard Hi-Fin Danios, Apples Snails and Assassin Snails. Please noted that most of these are not ready to go yet.

We also do have access to Platys and most types of Mollies to. These are all so home grown by a few others people in my area.

Since we can not grow all of the kinds of tropical fish that we need, we do have to buy some from different tropical fish wholesalers. But we do expect to grow more as times go on.

We do not deal with just any tropical fish wholesaler, we only deal with the best.
